    Key Benefits:

  • Doxycycline works to prevent bacterial protein production.

  • Doxycycline stops the spread of infection, allowing the immune system to eliminate bacteria.

Formulated For: Intended for horses, cats and dogs only.

How is Medication Given? Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product.

    What Results Can I Expect?

  • Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that treats tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease.
  • Some veterinarians prefer its long-lasting effects over Tetracycline.

What Form Does Medication Come In? Capsules

Dose and Administration: Capsules are soldindividually in a single strength (100 mg).

Possible Side Effects: Nausea and vomiting are the most common side effects associated with Doxycycline. Usually, these symptoms resolve when the medication is offered with food. (It should be noted that other Tetracyclines should NOT be administered with food because it can bind to the medication and affect absorption. This typically does not occur with Doxycycline.)

    Precautions:

  • This medication is known to impede the growth of bones, and should not be administered to a pregnant or nursing dog.
  • Tell your veterinarian if your pet has an allergy to tetracycline or to any similar antibiotic (symycin, declomycin, minocin, dynaci, or panmycin) before use.
  • Never administer to a dog with a liver or kidney disorder.
  • Do not allow your pet to consume milk or any dairy product during treatment unless approved by your veterinarian.

Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry location.

In Case of Overdose: Call your nearest pet hospital.
