DESCRIPTION:

Albon is used to treat canine and feline soft tissue, enteric, genitourinary tract, and respiratory infections, including wound infections with coccidiosis, pyometra, bacterial enteritis, abscesses, metritis, bronchitis, canine salmonellosis, anal gland infections, nephritis, pharyngitis, bacterial enteritis, pustular dermatitis, cystitis, and tonsillitis.

Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold individually in strengths of 125, 250, and 500 mg.

Possible Side Effects:

  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction, including coma, seizures, shock, vomiting, sudden diarrhea, scratching, hives, or facial swelling, should be urgently addressed by a veterinarian.
  • If you observe any bothersome or unusual side effects, consult your veterinarian right away.
  • Pets may experience sulfa crystals in the urine while taking this medication.
  • Allow your pet to have constant access to water during treatment with this medication.
  • Discontinue use and consult your vet at once if you observe skin rash, kidney damage, joint inflammation, diarrhea, vomiting, inappetence, anemia, dry eye, or keratoconjunctivitis.
  • Other reactions are also possible.

    Precautions: Keep out of reach of animals and children. If the animal does not show improvement within 2 to 3 days, the diagnosis should be re-evaluated. Ensure that the animal has constant access to water during treatment.

    Storage Recommendations: Keep in a cool environment. Avoid moisture.

    In Case of Overdose: Call your nearest emergency pet hospital.
