    DESCRIPTION:

    Minocycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that is used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including Lyme disease, chlamydia, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

    Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold individually in a single strength (50 mg).

    Possible Side Effects: Although rare, gastrointestinal upset is the most common side effect of Minocycline. This can include nausea or vomiting. Giving the medication with food can mitigate these effects.

    Precautions:

  • Safe for animals with renal insufficiency.
