Excenel is anti-infective against a number of illnesses, and it requires no milk discard. It is a sterile suspension containing Ceftiofur, a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Formulated For: For cattle and swine use only
How is Medication Given? Intramuscularly inject at a dosage rate of 1.36 mg to 2.27 mg of Ceftiofur per pound of body weight (1 mL of suspension for every 22 to 37 pounds of body weight). Re-treat every 24 hours for 3 days.
What Results Can I Expect? Excenel RTU EZ efficiently treats acute postpartum metritis, BRD (bovine respiratory disease), and foot rot.

Precautions:
Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. Certain individuals may experience a mild or severe allergic reaction after topical antimicrobial exposure. Penicillin or Cephalosporin can cause an allergic reaction. Repeated or prolonged exposure can lead to sensitization. If you have a history of Penicillin or Cephalosporin hypersensitivity, avoid exposure. In case of allergic reaction, pursue emergency treatment. Signs may include skin rash, hives, or trouble breathing. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, mouth, and clothing. Contaminated eyes should be flushed with water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Contaminated clothing should be removed. Safety is not proven for use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals. Cattle or swine can experience local injection site reactions, resulting in trim loss of edible tissue at slaughter.
Storage Recommendations: Store at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C). Do not freeze.
