Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for the price I'm going to use this as a plant vase and do some cool stuff with the bowl. Maybe moss balls and stones. I don't intent to put fish in it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a real an Aquaponics kit I love the idea of Aquaponics and I think that kind of filtration system is very effective but unfortunately this doesn't actually filter anything. A good Aquaponics filtration system will have a small pump that will remove water from the tank and will deposit it in the container with the plant (it's like a regular fish pump except instead of a carbon cartridge or a piece of sponge it has a plant in some sort of biomedia). This is just a plant with roots in the water. It is not an Aquaponics system but a glorified Betta Vase. It was sturdily built though and would make an attractive vase, though you could get a plant vase like that for less than this cost.

Since the plant is supposed to feed off of the fish poo and helps keep the tank clean how often often should I clean and change the water?
