Top Fin® Betta Connection Betta Tank is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from so small...why can't y'all make bigger tanks? The minimum tank size for a betta is 2.5 gallons, but 5 or 10 gallons is recommended. Betta fish are still fish that produce waste, so they also need a filter! and they're tropical and cannot produce their own body heat; they rely on the temperature of the water to regulate bodily functions like digestion and blood circulation, and need temps of 78-82 to be healthy, which means they also need a heater :) ALSO, with the size of the tank (.5gal) its nearly impossible to cycle properly ("cycling" refers to the nitrogen cycle wherein bacteria in the filter break down ammonia and turn it into nitrite, then another bacteria takes that nitrite and turns it into nitrate. nitrate is safe for fish but only in small quantities (refer to a water test kit) (also cycling takes about a month, and should be done before adding fish) while a filter and a heater can be added later, it would honestly just way cheapter to pay 10-15$ for a 5-10 gallon tank and add a heater and filter instead of spending money on a tank that you can't use to properly house your fish. plus your fish will be happier, healthier, and live longer! always do as much research as you can for any pet you intend to purchase, and give them at least the basics, and then upgrade when and where you can :)
