Rated 5 out of 5 by TMSD from Awesome Cage I just assembled this indoor cage for our daughter's new dutch bunny, which is a gift for her 5th birthday. Although assembly was not difficult, the directions lacked details. Otherwise, I think the cage is awesome - the perfect size for a small rabbit. The dump drawer, rolling casters, and easy access doors seem perfect and I am looking forward to bringing Peter home to live in it! I can't wait until my daughter sees it in the morning!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PetLuverGurl453 from Awesome! I love love love this cage! I have 1 guinea pig and she loves this cage! I took the bottom grid out so she could live in the bottom! Cleaning is a breeze. Plus it has easy transportation with the wheels! :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by TBroome from Poor Design I bought the largest model (Model 620) of this cage to house two guinea pigs in the plastic pan by removing the grill floor. The cage is well-built and easy to assemble. However, it was poorly packaged and slightly damaged during shipping. The mesh roof was bent and scuffed and some of the blue paint was scuffed. (Other reviews have said that this cage does not work well with rabbits because they can urinate down the legs of the cage.) With the grill floor removed, I'm not very confident in the security of the plastic pan with the weight of animals, food bowls, etc. The two end clips, designed to stabilize and secure the plastic pan, do not work at all. They do not clip onto the pan as intended. Therefore, the pan easily slides out of the cage. Once the pan is out a couple of inches, it is free to flex and fall to the floor. Although not recommended by the manufacturer, my solution was to cut the lip off both ends of the plastic pan, remove the top of the cage and slide the pan in so that it rests on the grill floor. The pan fits perfectly this way and is more secure. Furthermore, if the grill floor is relocated to the slots intended for the pan, the two end clips actually work and help secure and stabilize the grill floor. Such a large cage on wheels is a great idea, but I think the design needs some work. I communicated these concerns to the manufacturer, thinking the feedback may be appreciated. The response was mainly confusion (intentional?) of the shipping damage with the modifications I had to make, and denial of any problems with the design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cattail from Happy Rabbit I was looking for a reasonably priced cage for my son's Flemish Giant rabbit. We keep him in the garage and wanted to contain the mess and make it unavailable for the dogs to access, as they thought it was a great treat. Very happy with this cage. I put it together myself and had no problems at all. I did place one piece of the upper cage in the wrong place for it to overlap, but it wasn't worth taking apart, so I just zip tied it to secure and it will be fine. The rabbit is very happy as it is longer than his old cage and he has plenty of room to stretch out. He is quite large, maybe 15 pounds. My son thought the bottom tray might get too heavy, but he said it wasn't and emptied it no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stacey5 from good buy This cage is huge, not good for small animals such as mice or hamsters they get out! Great for guinea pigs, although when you slide the tray out be very careful the lip on the bars are not wide enough and the tray falls when you are sliding it out to clean and boom there goes the tray with the piggies on the floor, this is something I give a negative for, also there is no place for a water bottle the wires are horizontal without any vertical ones so to attach a bottle from the outside is difficult and the tray is super deep and smaller piggies wont be able to reach it. They need to provide area for a water bottle. Fix the lip for tray and I say this is than a five star product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kidsandpigsinCLT from Easy & great for the family This is my third cage & favorite. It's easy for the kids to view the guinea pigs & easy for me to get the pigs in & out. We just put a lock on the side so that my small children can't open it and they can't reach the top. It's simple to clean too! Although the latch to supposedly hook the bottom on is worthless, the sliding part on the bottom is sufficient to hold the bottom tray in. The cage is spacious enough for two guinea pigs, and probably even three. The guinea pigs usually just sit in their little hiding home most of the time anyway. The cage is more attractive than most, and is fine for a family room or spacious kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by karen3301 from very nice cage for apartment I liked the looks of this cage and thought it would be good for an apartment. It is attractive (not the usual black or silver) and I love having the wheeled base! I can sit in a chair and have my mini lobs at lap height. It also gets them upwards far enough that the cats cannot swipe them or peer in at them. It comes with a wire bottom, but I dont like wire bottoms and just use the deep plastic base. The base prevents litter from flying around the room. There is both a top and a side door, which is nice. The base slides out for easy cleaning. The assembly was relatively easy although the directions were rather vague. It came with the necessary screws and wrench. The wheels screw in on the bottom instead of popping in, which I really like. The top opening is kinda small; I would rather have the entire top fold open, but this works. Since I have the smallest littler pan, I can get it in and out of the side door. All in all, it is attractive, well made, and a good design for a basic rabbit cage. Many cages in the same price range don't have the rolling base, which is a big plus for apartments.

Would this be an acceptable cage for two rats? And what's the bar space?
Asked by: JessicaLeslie
Hello. Our 620 Small Animal Home comes with 1" wire spacing which may be too wide for a rat. Please see Petsmart SKU 5156160 instead. Hope this helps!
