About this item
DESCRIPTION

Ondansetron, the generic alternative to Zofran, treats many conditions, such as vomiting. It was originally made for use in humans, but is often prescribed by veterinarians to treat cats and dogs. It can be especially beneficial for animals who are vomiting after chemotherapy. It also treats sleep apnea and itching (pruritus) in certain cases.

Key Benefits:

  • Ondansetron is a selective inhibitor of 5HT3 receptors.
  • These receptors are found in the terminals of the vagus nerve, in the central brain (in the chemoreceptor trigger zone region), and in enteric gastrointestinal tract neurons.
  • Clonidine is known as an alpha adrenergic medication. It stimulates specific brain receptors.

Formulated For: Intended for cats and dogs.
