Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for. I gave this only three stars because it is low budget furniture grade, but, yes, I would recommend it for someone who needed a cheap tank stand. It is black laminated particle board with a cardboard backing. It says it is rated for a 75g aquarium, which I purchased, so I am optimistic that it will hold the tank (with water, gravel, and fish in it). It was pretty easy to put together - not very many parts. You only need a Phillips screwdriver and one on a drill driver is useful. Everything seemed to be pre-drilled properly. It is not too heavy for one person to maneuver while building, but two people might be required to move it once it is built (I built mine in place so I could set it up myself). It is very, very basic. It is not fine furniture. But, if you plan to tuck your tank into a corner in a dark room, it is probably fine. The laminate was a bit scuffed up out of the box, but a black Sharpie fixed that where it mattered. I plan to swap out the ugly plastic door handles for something blingy. I'll see if I can get some applique googaws to dress up the doors a little, too, just to give it some character. The two cabinets are roomy enough for a canister filter (my biggest requirement). Mine was missing some hardware (not necessary for construction, so I was able to get it set up) and I tried to order them online from the distributor but it didn't work. I called them and was on hold for 20 minutes, but they were nice and are sending the parts. Overall, for what they charge for this, it's not a bad deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble! I absolutely love this aquarium stand. It looks very nice and was so easy to assemble. Even if you ever get out of the fish hobby the stand could be used for other house needs so that's great. Being a 17 year old female who had to set the stand up all by myself, I'm super appreciative of how easy it is to assemble. It comes with all the parts you need and I was surprise all I needed was 2 screwdrivers and a hammer to put it together and the hammering was no time heavy duty so I was even more thrilled. It so nice when you don't have to depend on other people that discourage you when dealing with the stuff!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great buy I bought this last week, good buy for the price, stand appears to be sturdy, a lot of scratches on the wood once opened and put up, lets see how long it lasts

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very good stand! I presently have a 55 gallon, this stand works very well. Have had no problems with it; although you do have to watch your water splashes or the finish will bubble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected, yes I'd even recommend it! So the reviews on here weren't great which made very nervous, but if you do in-store pickup you get 15% off making this thing like $135 so I went for it. I couldn't be happier. It looks very nice after its built and you no that cares to admire an aquarium will be questioning your choice of stand. I received all the pieces in the box. The instructions are not bad at all, but it does help to have a second person assisting. There are ton of screws and brackets to install which isn't fun, and there were a couple times I had to improvise a little get everything to line up, but after a grueling hour and half its done and you never have to do it again. And it feels really solid once it is complete. Bottom line: it looks great, it's affordable, it will hold a 75 gallon aquarium full. I would indeed recommend this to anyone needing a stand on a budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best stand for the prise 5 stars i don't see why all the bad reviews just got this stand for my 75 gal. i guess the people that got this don't know how to wipe up water and don't know how to read and put stuff toghter! but this stand is the best i'v seen and had for the price i give it 5 stars!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not anywhere near the quality expected. Yes I assembled it but in doing so I discovered the very, very poor quality of fiberboard used in its construction. The top of the stand is its only saving aspect. The structural integrity is weak because of the lack of braces and screws that could easily have improved it are not provided. Plastic handles, miss-aligned doors, a paper panel as a cover to the rear center section, shame. I replaced the single point hinges, with recessed cabinet hinges. I added just 12 new fiberboard fasteners to the assembly and an additional 10 "L" shaped braces to provide greater rigidity. I have placed a lot of time bringing it up to good engineering standards and I feel satisfied that it will hold the 55 gallon tank I intend to put on it, now that I have made the changes. Yep I'm keeping it. But, I do so now with my understanding of structure engineering improved this stand significantly and I can now qualify it as safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand for the price I have a 50 gal tank with this stand, and I must say it has hold great for the past 7 months. Sure, it is not real wood, but if you take the time to read the instructions carefully and put it together, it will be very sturdy. I added a towel and a plastic garbage bag underneath the tank (between the tank and the stand) because of my AC, the tank sweats a bit. Aside from that, I highly recommend this stand. It has worked great so far, just seriously, take the time to read the instructions while you put it together... double and triple check.
