    DESCRIPTION

    Quartermaster is used to treat fair cows for the duration of dryout. The effect of this medication works to prevent reinfection and decrease the severity of current infections of Staphylococcus aureus.

    How is Medication Given?

  • FLEXI-TUBE offers a choice between full cannula insertion (traditional practice) or 1/8-inch cannula insertion (as suggested by the National Mastitis Council).
  • For partial insertion, remove the red cannula and white end cap by pressing sideways. Insert the now-exposed white tip gently into the canal of the teat. Infuse product carefully.
  • For full insertion, remove the white end cap by pulling directly upward. Insert the entire cannula into the canal of the teat. Infuse product carefully.

    What Results Can I Expect: Quartermaster helps decrease the severity of infections and defends against reinfection.

    What Form Does Medication Come In? Syringes

    Dose and Administration: Each box contains 12 disposable syringes (10 mL each).

    Precautions:

  • Allow for 60 days after last dose before slaughtering (96 hours post-calving). Do not serve milk from a treated cow for 96 hours after calving.
  • Not for use in lactating cattle.
  • Not for administration 6 weeks pre-freshening.
  • Only for drying off purposes in cattle, and only for intramammary insertion.

    Storage Recommendations: Keep product at room temperature between 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F).

    In Case of Overdose: Call your nearest animal hospital.
