DESCRIPTION Vetropolycin HC Ophthalmic Ointment is a steroidal and triple-antibiotic ointment containing Hydrocortisone, Bacitracin, Neomycin, and Polymyxin. It is effective in treating superficial bacterial eyelid and conjunctiva infections.

How is Medication Given?
1) Clean the area to thoroughly. 2) Remove any debris, crusted secretions, and other foreign matter carefully. 3) Apply by covering the cornea with a thin layer 3 to 4 times each day. To do this, insert the tube tip under the bottom lid and apply a tiny amount of ointment directly to the conjunctival sac.

Precautions:
Never use before surgery. Prolonged application can cause non-susceptible organism overgrowth (such as fungi). In this case, the condition will require treatment. Treatment and diagnosis should be re-evaluated if the infection remains unresponsive after 2 to 3 days of treatment. Do not allow the applicator tip to touch any tissue or surface (this can cause infection). Take care not to contaminate it during application. Keep away from children. Adverse reactions are uncommon. However, if you observe a reaction of any kind, withdraw treatment.
