Dose and Administration: Sold in a 30-count bottle of tablets in strengths of 5, 20, 40, or 80 mg.
Possible Side Effects: This medication is generally well-tolerated. However, side effects may include:
Increased thirst Diarrhea Elevated liver enzymes Depression Lethargy Vomiting Because vomiting is the most frequently reported side effect, administering with food can be helpful.
Precautions:
Cautiously and carefully administer to dogs with narrow angle glaucoma, diminished gastrointestinal motility, urinary retention, cardiovascular dysfunction, or epilepsy. Risks and benefits should be weighed before administering to animals with any of these conditions. Do not administer to a breeding dog. Only use with approval from your veterinarian. Do not administer concomitantly with Preventic collar or Anipryl tablets (Selegiline). Tell your vet about all other medications your pet is taking prior to treatment with this medication. Keep out of reach of animals and children.
Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry location between 59- 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C). Keep enclosed in original container and out of reach of children.
