    DESCRIPTION:

    Selegiline is used to treat cognitive dysfunction in dogs. It also treats Cushing's disease when the condition is related to a tumor in the pituitary gland.

    How is Medication Given?

  • Typical recommended dosage rate for Cushing's Disease treatment is an oral dose of 0.45 mg per pound of body weight daily administered once daily (during the morning).
  • Typical recommended dosage rate for cognitive dysfunction treatment is an oral dose of 0.2 mg to 0.45 mg per pound of body weight.
  • Never administer to a nursing or pregnant animal.
  • Never administer more than your veterinarian prescribes.
  • Dizziness or drowsiness are common when taking this medication.
