DESCRIPTION

Cephalexin Oral Suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It combats a variety of bacterial infections in dogs, including soft tissue, skin, respiratory tract, and urinary tract infections. It is intended to be mixed with water prior to use.

How is Medication Given?

    Possible Side Effects: This product is typically well-tolerated, allowing for several months of treatment with no or moderate reactions. If you observe any of the following adverse reactions:

  • High Fever (Rare)
  • Excitability
  • Skin Rash
  • Rapid Breathing
  • Drooling
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Inappetence
  • Renal Excretion (only in animals treated concomitantly with Probenecid)

    Gastrointestinal effects are usually reduced by administering with food. Tell your vet about any other unusual or bothersome effects.

    Precautions:

  • Keep away from children and animals.
  • Administer with caution to pets with kidney failure or a history of seizures.
  • Never administer to a pregnant or lactating animal.
  • Never administer to animals with known allergies to Penicillin, Cephalosporins, or antibiotics.

    Storage Recommendations: After reconstitution with water, oral suspension should be kept refrigerated and any unused portion to be discarded after 14 days.
