pet):

- Birds
- Small animals and reptiles sold at PetSmart (including, guinea pigs,

specific types of frogs, certain types of birds)
- Other non-venomous reptiles
- Ferrets
- Rabbits
- Sugar Gliders
- Pot-bellied pigs
All other pets are considered nontraditional and are not permitted in our
stores. Please see a store associate if you are unsure if your pet is permitted in our stores.
For the safety of all pets, pet parents, and store associates, non-traditional
pets are not permitted inside any PetSmart store location unless the pet is a service animal under the
federal guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar state or local laws, or has a
veterinary appointment with an in-store veterinary hospital.
PetSmart considers a pet ‘non-traditional’ unless (1) it sells the same breed
or type of pet; (2) it would allow adoption of the same breed or type of pet through an in-store adoption
partner; (3) it sells supplies intended for the specific breed or type of pet; or (4) the specific pet in
question is being treated at the in-store veterinary hospital.
Veterinary Hospital Customers:
Traditional and non-traditional pets entering the store for veterinary
appointments at in-store veterinary hospital locations must be secured in a crate, kennel, or other fastened
enclosure to prevent exposure to the public. Pets may not be removed from their crate, kennel, or other
fastened enclosure until safely sheltered inside a hospital examination room or kennel area.
PetSmart reserves the right to prohibit any pet from being in a PetSmart
location for any reason, and PetSmart may modify this policy, or any portion thereof, at any time, without
notice.
