Usage: Previcox® should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Routine laboratory monitoring is recommended prior to use and periodically while on this medication.

Missed Doses: Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.

Side Effects:Possible side effects may include mild stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, and⁄or drowsiness. Notify your veterinarian if side effects appear and remain troublesome. Other side effects may occur, if you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.

Drug & Food Interactions: The following drugs can potentially interact with firocoxib: nsaids, aspirin, ACE inhibitors, corticosteroids, digoxin, fluconazole, furosemide, sulfonamides, oral anticoagulants, and methotrexate. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and⁄or monitor your pet more closely.

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children and pets. Not forhuman use. Do not use in dogs with a known hypersensitivity to firocoxib. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
