To find large dog crates, measure your dog’s length from nose to tail, then measure the length between their shoulders. Ensure your dog crate’s dimensions measure up to provide more space than the dog will take up. You want your big dog to be able to stand up, turn around and sit down comfortably in their dog crate.

Many dogs are fine to be crated for short periods of time. If you have a large dog, make sure to find a crate that fits them comfortably and gives them plenty of room to relax. If suitable for your pup, you may want to add in a few dog toys and a cozy bed for your pup to enjoy. Be sure to provide appropriate supervision and remove anything that is inappropriate for your pet.

You can partially cover your big dog’s crate at night or during quiet hours to block out excess noise. However, make sure you leave them plenty of uncovered space on their large crate to allow for healthy airflow and observe your pet to make sure they aren't trying to chew on the cover.
