Rated 5 out of 5 by from Food my kittens love and I feel good about My husband and I just adopted two 4 month old kittens about a month ago. We bought the Hill's Science diet food they had been eating at the Humane Society without much thought. When it came time to buy them food again, I thought I better do some research as to what cats need in their diet. We try to eat healthy ourselves and believe our kittens deserve the same. I found out that a lot of the big name brands have animal by-product and carrageenan in them, which are not good for kittens. Thankfully Hill's doesn't have either! My kittens absolutely LOVE the savory salmon wet food! The gobble it down and I feel great knowing it's healthy for them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Science Diet is the only brand my veterinarian recommends. I have 2 8 month-old persian kittens and they exclusively eat Science Diet -- both the wet kitten food and the dry. I have fed them nothing but the salmon or the chicken liver twice a day since I got them. They really seem to enjoy their food. Best of all, I know they are getting superior nutrition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very fussy kitten loves this! I have a 5-month old persian kitten with a very sensitive stomach. I have tried so many brands of kitten foods and he throws up within 5 minutes of eating it. With Hills Science Diet he has had no problem at all. And he loves it!

How can I get my 4 year old cat to eat wet food? My kitten eats Hills canned salmon and loves it! But my older kitty refuses canned!

Asked by: MimiHum
Great question! We would recommend a canned adult formula for your four year old cat. Perhaps your adult cat is not a fan of the minced formulas. You might try one of our stew formulas such as the Science Diet Adult Healthy Cuisine Roasted Chicken & Rice Medley. This product combines the delicious flavors of roasted chicken and rice in a mouthwatering sauce. This canned cat food is a perfect balance of taste and nutrition for your cat. However, if you would like to continue your cat on a minced formula you can try adding warm water to the food or placing the food on a microwave safe dish and microwaving it for 3-5 seconds. This can help bring the aroma out of the food and make it more appealing to your cat. We hope this helps! Hill’s Pet Nutrition
