Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great bowl but with a serious flaw I bought 2 of these bowls just under 3 years ago and have always loved the way the rubberized ring keeps them from sliding around the floor. The stainless steel is still perfect, but the rubber ring has broken down over time. After a year it started to crack. That wasn't a big problem, but now it's staining my dish towels. We have NEVER put these in the dishwasher! They have always been hand washed, but that didn't help. I recommend them nevertheless, but expect to replace yours in about 2-3 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KittyKate from Much better for your cat and easier to clean. Seeing all the reviews are interesting. The rubber is what smells funny (but I don't shove my nose in the rubber either), and yes you do have to hand wash it, but that's honestly not too bad. Stainless steel is much easier to clean than plastic or porcelain and I like how study the bowls are considering I have naughty kitties that knock things off of counters. Affordable and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PreOre from The right choice We've bought several of these bowls since we adopted our cat, and they've been the right choice for us. We knew plastic bowls weren't an option because they're porous, and bacteria can lodge in the crevices. That bacteria can then infect the cat's skin, leading to feline acne. Ouch! Since a cat's whiskers are very sensitive, this bowl is shallow enough not to soil or smash her whiskers against it. The rubber ring at the bottom of the bowl helps it stay put even if the cat is a little overzealous at mealtimes. Overall, we've been very pleased with these bowls, and of course, so has the cat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SilverPantherKitten from Very nice! After using over 4 different bowls I have stopped on this one. It's durable and is heavy enough not to be moved ( even though the rubber on the bottom helps too). Very easy to wash and doesn't have any scratches on it:) I would recommend this to everyone!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by iluvmyfam from stainless steel over plastic!!! i really like these bowls because they look and smell cleaner than the plastic bowls. i dont like glass because i always drop them. it is healthier for animals to have stainless steel dishes. im always collecting them when i go to the store but theyre expensive so i only buy 2 at a time i have many cats

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kestrel from The perfect cat food dish Plastic can harbor bacteria and odors and irritate a cat's mouth....glass and ceramic can chip and break.....and stainless steal tends to be too light and just gets dragged around. But not this bowl! It has a nice heavy base and a rubber ring to keep it from sliding. It's wide and shallow, which cats like, and is easy to clean....you just throw it in the dishwasher. I would highly recommend these bowls to other cat owners.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mercy026 from The smell repells This bowl seemed perfect -- sturdy, metal so better for cat health, low to the ground. However, it smells funny even after several washes. My cat cowers away from the bowls because they smell. Their odor lingers on my hands for a long time after any contact with them. I bought them last night in store and will just have to return them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Snowball703 from I bought this last week, and it's high-quality. I intended to use it as a water dish. My cat drinks from it easily enough. If you're going to use it for water, though, you'll need to keep this bowl filled towards the top so that your cat doesn't bend his whiskers. However, he still manages to tip it slightly (not all the way over) and spill water out of the bowl onto his placemat. (He does this on purpose.) Funnily, when he strikes the rim with his claws, the sound is musical, like striking a tuning fork. I'll have to use this for dry food only because of his habit of tipping it just enough to spill water out of it.
