DESCRIPTION: Panacur Suspension manages and eliminates infestations of roundworms, small and large strongyles, and pinworms.
Key Benefits:
Panacur is an antiparasitic that eradicates infesting parasites from the intestines of animals. Parasites are then eliminated through the animal's excrement.
Formulated For: For horses and cattle bred for beef, dairy, and veal.
How is Medication Given? Dosing Recommendations for Cattle and Horses:
Animal Weight/10 mg per kg/5 mg per kg 100/4.6 mL/2.3mL 200/9.2 mL/4.6 mL 300/13.8 mL/6.9 mL 400/18.4 mL/9.2 mL 500/23 mL/11.5 mL 1000/46 mL/23 mL 1500/69 mL/34.5 mL For horses, orally administer a dose of 2.5 cc for every 100 pounds of body weight. Appropriate dosage rate should be calculated based on the best estimation of body weight. Use a dosing syringe to administer. To dose, insert the syringe nozzle through the horse's interdental space. Depress the plunger to deposit the medication onto the back of his or her tongue. Alternatively, you may also administer through a stomach tube. For use in horses or cattle, there are not any known contraindications. At a rate of 5 mg per kg, there is not a withdrawal period for milk in dairy cattle. May be administered concomitantly with Trichlorfon in an approved form (a stomach bot treatment). Always read the product label for cautions and administration information. Deworming routinely every 6 to 8 weeks might be necessary for horses. If the animal is exposed to parasites continuously, re-treat every 4 to 6 weeks, as needed. In beef cattle, a dose of 10 mg per kg of body weight is used to remove and control Moniezia benedeni tapeworms, Type II Ostertagiasis (Ostertagia ostertagi), and 4th stage inhibited stomach worm larvae. Controls and removes the following 4th stage larvae and adult worms in dairy and beef cattle: nodular worms (Oesophagostomum radiatum), bankrupt worms (trichostrongylus colubriformis), small intestinal worms (Cooperia oncophora and C. punctata), thread-necked intestinal worms (Nematodirus helvetianus), hookworms (Bunostomum phlebotomum), small stomach worms (Trichostrongylus axei), barberpole worms (Haemonchus contortus/placei), stomach worms, and brown stomach worms (Ostertagia ostertagi). Also controls and removes lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus). Controls and removes the following: pinworms (Oxyuris equi), small strongyles (Cylicodontophorus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicocyclus spp., and Cyathostomum spp.), and large strongyles (Strongylus Triodontophorus spp., S. vulgaris, S. equinus, and S. edentatus).
What Results Can I Expect? Panacur Suspension is used to treat a broad range of parasite infestations, including roundworms (in horses), pinworms (in horses), small strongyles, and large strongyles.
