DESCRIPTION:

Equioxx Chewable Tablets contain the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) Firocoxib. They control the pain and inflammation that often accompanies osteoarthritis in horses.

    Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold in 60-count or 180-count bottles in a single strength (57 mg).

    Possible Side Effects: The most common adverse reactions to Equioxx include:

  • Tongue, lip, skin, mouth, or face effects
  • Mucosa and skin erosions and ulcers

    Other signs of a medical problem or adverse reaction include:

  • Mouth and/or facial skin sores, scabs, redness, and/or rubbing
  • Tongue or mouth sores or ulcers
  • Changes in urination frequency of color of urine
  • Jaundice (including yellow gums, skin, and/or eye whites)
  • Unexpected weight loss

  • Reactions could occur with or without warning.

    Precautions Only for equine use. Never use in a horse intended for human consumption. Protect against accidental ingestion or overdose by keeping out of the reach of children and animals. Not for human use. Never administer to an animal with hypersensitivity to Firocoxib.

    Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry place between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Brief excursions permitted up to 40 degrees C (104 degrees F).
