DESCRIPTION

Proin ER (phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride) is for the control of canine urinary incontinence due to urethral sphincter hypotonus. It provides the same proven efficacy as PROIN chewable tablets but in extended-release tablets for once-a-day dosing. *This item can't be shipped to AR, IA, LA, OR, WV.

    What Results Can I Expect? PROIN ER works by increasing urethral sphincter muscle tone to help prevent urinary leakage. Proin contains the active ingredient phenylpropanolamine, an adrenergic agent that works by tightening the urethral sphincter muscle.

    What Form Does Medication Come In? 30 Tablet or 90 Tablet Bottle in the following strengths : 18 mg (for dogs 10-20 lbs), 38 mg (for dogs 21-40 lbs), 74 mg (for dogs 41-80 lbs), 145 mg (for dogs 81-125 lbs).

    Possible Side Effects: The most commonly reported side effects are vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, excessive salivation, agitation, tiredness, vocalization, confusion, increased water consumption, weight loss, weakness, fever, panting, and reversible changes in skin color (flushing or bright pink).

    Storage Recommendations: Store tablets at controlled room temperature 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F). Replace cap securely after each opening.
