Description: Thyro–Tabs Canine (levothyroxine sodium tablets) are indicated for use as replacement therapy in dogs with diminished thyroid function (canine hypothyroidism).This product is an oral tablet formulation. Thyro–Tabs Canine are the first and only FDA–approved canine T4 brand. Contains a synthetic form of levothyroxine (T4), a naturally circulating thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland. This medication can be given either with or without food; to maintain consistent hormone concentrations, it should be given consistently the same way for every dose. Do not use in dogs with thyrotoxicosis or uncorrected adrenal insufficiency. Do not confuse with other thyroid medications, including liothyronine or desiccated thyroid. *Please note: The images provided are for illustrative purposes.
