DESCRIPTION Thyro-Tabs Canine is a replacement therapy prescription formulated for dogs who have inhibited thyroid function (hypothyroidism).

Thyro-Tabs contains T4, which is otherwise known as Synthetic Tetraiodothyronine Sodium Salt. This ingredient replicates the natural thyroid hormone for a dog. T4 is helpful for dogs with hypothyroidism because it works as a replacement therapy.
Formulated For: For dogs only.
How is Medication Given?
Dogs should be monitored closely by a veterinarian, with a focus on T4 (total thyroxine) concentration. The vet will need to adjust dosage as needed to determine the proper maintenance dosage level. Typical dosage recommendation is 0.1 mg for every 10 pounds of dog's body weight daily. Administer daily, or divide the dose in half to administer twice daily at 12-hour intervals. Always follow your veterinarian's instructions when using this product. Administer with a meal or without.
What Results Can I Expect? Thyro-Tabs Canine is a replacement therapy drug that is commonly prescribed for dogs who have a hypothyroidism diagnosis. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid underproduces thyroid hormones. Thyro-Tabs is beneficial because it balances those hormones, which allows for an improvement in physical and mental wellness.
