About this item
DESCRIPTION

Thyro-Tabs Canine is a replacement therapy prescription formulated for dogs who have inhibited thyroid function (hypothyroidism).

Key Benefits:

  • Thyro-Tabs contains T4, which is otherwise known as Synthetic Tetraiodothyronine Sodium Salt.
  • This ingredient replicates the natural thyroid hormone for a dog.
  • T4 is helpful for dogs with hypothyroidism because it works as a replacement therapy.

    Formulated For: For dogs only.

    How is Medication Given?

  • Dogs should be monitored closely by a veterinarian, with a focus on T4 (total thyroxine) concentration. The vet will need to adjust dosage as needed to determine the proper maintenance dosage level.
  • Typical dosage recommendation is 0.1 mg for every 10 pounds of dog's body weight daily. Administer daily, or divide the dose in half to administer twice daily at 12-hour intervals.
  • Always follow your veterinarian's instructions when using this product.
  • Administer with a meal or without.

What Results Can I Expect? Thyro-Tabs Canine is a replacement therapy drug that is commonly prescribed for dogs who have a hypothyroidism diagnosis. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid underproduces thyroid hormones. Thyro-Tabs is beneficial because it balances those hormones, which allows for an improvement in physical and mental wellness.
