Description: Levetiracetam(immediate–release)is an anticonvulsant medication used to treat seizures and epilepsy in dogs and cats. It is often given in combination with other medications to help achieve optimal seizure control.This product is a standard immediate–release tablet formulation. *Note: Levetiracetam Immediate Release Tablets should not be confused (and are not typically considered interchangeable) with Levetiracetam ER (extended–release) Tablets. Used to help control epilepsy and other seizure disorders in dogs and cats, often in combination with other medications. Do not discontinue this medication abruptly; request refills ahead of time to prevent treatment interruption. These immediate–release tablets can be split at their break line and may be a more practical option than extended–release tablets for small dogs, cats, and pets with difficulty swallowing larger pills. May be prescribed for other animal species; please consult your veterinarian. While this drug does not have an FDA–approved indication for all animal uses, it is commonly accepted for veterinarians to prescribe this medication for use in animals. *Please note: This is a generic medication.
