DESCRIPTION:

Iverhart Plus Flavored Chewables combine Pyrantel and Ivermectin to prevent heartworm disease in dogs. It works by eliminating Dirofilaria immitis (heartworm larvae) at the tissue stage to deliver 30 days of lasting protection against infection. It also works to treat and control ascarids/roundworms (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, and Ancylostoma braziliense).

Key Benefits: Iverhart works by eliminating heartworm larvae in the tissue stage.

How is Medication Given? Recommended Monthly Dose:

  • Dogs Weighing 25 Pounds or Less: Blue Packaging (57 mg of Pyrantel and 68 mcg of Ivermectin Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing 26-50 Pounds: Green Packaging (114 mg of Pyrantel and 136 mcg of Ivermectin Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing 51-100 Pounds: Brown Packaging (227 mg of Pyrantel and 272 mcg of Ivermectin Per Tablet)

    Dose and Administration: Sold as a 1-month, 3-month, or 6-month supply in the following strengths:

  • Green (for Dogs 26-50 Pounds): 136 Ivermectin and 114 mg Pyrantel (Pamoate Salt)
  • Green (for Dogs 51-100 Pounds): 272 Ivermectin and 227 mg Pyrantel (Pamoate Salt)

    Possible Side Effects: The most frequently reported side effects include:
