DESCRIPTION

Interceptor Plus is a broad-spectrum, chewable parasiticide for use in dogs. It prevents heartworm disease, prevents tapeworm infections, and controls and treats adult tapeworm, whipworm, hookworm, and roundworm infections in puppies and adult dogs.

Key Benefits:

  • Interceptor eliminates heartworm larvae in the tissue stage, hookworms in the adult stage (Ancylostoma caninum), roundworms in the adult stage (Toxacaris leonina), and whipworms in the adult stage (Trihuris vulpis) with oral administration at an appropriate dosage rate.
  • Milbemycin Oxime is believed to exert anthelmintic action to interfere with the neurotransmission of invertebrates.

    Formulated For: For puppies and dogs 6 weeks and older weighing at least 2lbs and more.

    How is Medication Given? Dosage Recommendations (1 Tablet Per Month):

  • 2 to 8 Pounds: Orange
  • 8.1 to 25 Pounds: Green
  • 25.1 to 50 Pounds: Yellow
  • 50.1 to 100 Pounds: Blue
  • Greater Than 100 Pounds: Discuss proper dosing with your dog's veterinarian. Orally administer a minimum dose of 2.28 mg of Praziquantel per pound of body weight and 0.23 mg of Milbemycin Oxime per pound. To protect your dog against heartworm disease, administer 1 tablet monthly for a minimum of 6 months following the last mosquito exposure.


    What Results Can I Expect? Interceptor is formulated for once-monthly administration to prevent heartworms and intestinal parasites. The easy-to-use formula protects against the five most common (and dangerous) worms in dogs, including whipworms, roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and heartworms.
