DESCRIPTION:

Interceptor for Dogs and Cats is a flavored tablet that removes and controls adult roundworm and whipworm infections in cats, dogs, and puppies (2 pounds or greater, 4 weeks old and up), controls adult hookworms, and prevents heartworm disease associated with Dirofilaria immitis.

  • Dogs Weighing 2 to 10 Pounds: Brown Packaging (2.3 mg Milbemycin Oxime Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing 11 to 25 Pounds or Cats Weighing 1.5 to 6 Pounds: Green Packaging (5.75 mg Milbemycin Oxime Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing 26 to 50 Pounds or Cats Weighing 6.1 to 12 Pounds: Yellow Packaging (11.5 mg Milbemycin Oxime Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing 51 to 100 Pounds or Cats Weighing 12.1 to 25 Pounds: White Packaging (23 mg Milbemycin Oxime Per Tablet)
  • Dogs Weighing More Than 100 Pounds: Consult Veterinarian for Proper Combination of Tablets. Minimum recommended dosage is 0.5 mg of Milbemycin Oxime per kg of body weight.

    What Results Can I Expect? Interceptor is an appealing, easy-to-administer, once-monthly medication that protects dogs and cats against the four most common types of worms - heartworms, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms.

    Possible Side Effects: Potential adverse reactions include: Vomiting; Diarrhea; Depression; Lethargy; Incoordination; Decreased appetite; Convulsions; Weakness; Salivation

    Precautions Heartworm testing should take place before starting on this medication. If the dog is found to have heartworm disease, treatment is recommended before taking this medication. This product is safe for the majority of dogs. Keep away from children and animals.

    Storage Recommendations: Store at room temperature.
