DESCRIPTION:

Sentinel Spectrum works to remove and control adult roundworm and whipworm infections, control adult hookworms, prevent and control fleas, and prevent heartworm disease.

Key Benefits:

    Milbemycin Oxime:

  • Eradicates adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum)
  • Kills the tissue stage of heartworm larvae
  • Is a macrocyclic anthelmintic, which is believed to impede the neurotransmission of invertebrates (parasites)

    Formulated For: For puppies and dogs over the age of 4 weeks and weigh 2 lbs or more.

    How isMedication Given?

  • Read the entire product insert for full information before use.
  • For the control and prevention of fleas, administer once per month.
  • This medication uses Lufenuron to prevent flea egg development, but it has no effect on adult fleas.
  • If your dog has an existing infestation, you may administer Capstar concomitantly to provide immediate relief.
  • (Capstar begins killing fleas within just 30 minutes.) Every pet in the home should be treated to prevent re-infestation.
  • Ask your veterinarian for an administration schedule for Capstar and Sentinel Spectrum.
  • Your dog's dosage rate will depend upon his or her body weight, and this product should not be used in dogs weighing less than 2 pounds.
  • Most (97%) dogs willingly take these delicious chews when offered by hand.
  • If your dog is particularly finicky and won't accept the chew by hand, dose as a tablet or combine with a small amount of food.

    Dose and Administration: Sold as a 6-month or 12-month supply in the following strengths:

  • Orange (for Dogs 2 to 8 Pounds): 2.3 mg Milbemycin Oxime, 46 mg Lufenuron, and 22.8 Praziquantel
  • Green (for Dogs 8.1 to 25 Pounds): 5.75 mg Milbemycin Oxime, 115 mg Lufenuron, and 57 Praziquantel
  • Yellow (for Dogs 25.1 to 50 Pounds): 11.5 mg Milbemycin Oxime, 230 mg Lufenuron, and 114 Praziquantel
  • Blue (for Dogs 50.1 to 100 Pounds): 23 mg Milbemycin Oxime, 460 mg Lufenuron, and 228 Praziquantel

    Possible Side Effects: Potential adverse reactions include:

    Precautions

  • Heartworm testing is important prior to treatment initiation, because infected dogs can experience a transient shock-like condition.
  • If your dog has heartworm disease, proper treatment should be completed prior to Sentinel Spectrum use.
  • Not proven safe for use in pregnant dogs, nursing dogs, or puppies under the age of 11 weeks.

    Storage Recommendations: When storing, keep temperature below 25 degrees C (77 degrees F).
