Description: Maropitant is a neurokinin (NK–1) receptor antagonist used as an antiemetic (prevents nausea and vomiting) in dogs and cats.This product is a tablet formulation. Maropitant tablets have an FDA–approved indication for the prevention of acute vomiting and the prevention of vomiting due to motion sickness in dogs. Extra–label use in cats has been documented for certain conditions, including the treatment and prevention of vomiting due to motion sickness or chronic kidney disease. May cause localized skin irritation in some individuals; wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling. May be prescribed for other animal species; please consult your veterinarian.
