Epizyme is formulated for animals with pancreatic insufficiency. Containing whole, raw, activated pancreas, this formula uses porcine pancreatic enzymes, standardized amylase, protease, and lipase activities, plus esterases, elastase, nucleases, and peptidases to aid in protein, carbohydrate, and fat digestion.

How is Medication Given? Combine with moistened dry or canned dog food, combining thoroughly so the enzymes can come into close contact with the particles of food. The mixture should sit for 5 minutes at room temperature prior to feeding, but 15 to 20 minutes of room temp incubation can help facilitate proper digestion. Feed frequently (a minimum of 3 times each day). For cats, combine 1/4 to 3/4 teaspoon with every meal. For dogs, combine 3/4 to 1 teaspoon with every meal.
