helpful in dogs or cats with restricted or difficult breathing.

How is Medication Given?
This canister contains a sufficient amount for a full month of treatment (at a dosage rate of 2 puffs two times daily). If your pet seems to be doing well with treatment following 2 months, dosage strength can be reduced after another month of treatment. Your veterinarian or vet tech should demonstrate use for you, then have you demonstrate the procedure yourself before heading home. For symptomatic animals who are able to tolerate Prednisone short-term, a dose of 1 mg per kg of body weight should be administered in conjunction with Flovent. Thereafter, Prednisone should be discontinued. To use this product, 1 puff should be dosed into the chamber, and the cat or dog should breathe into the mask for a 7- to 10-second period.

Dose and Administration: Sold in an aerosol bottle in 44, 110, or 200 mcg strengths.
Possible Side Effects: Flovent carries a very low risk of side effects. Rarely, it can cause throat irritation, lethargy, and dizziness.
