DESCRIPTION TruProfen Flavored Tablets contain Carprofen, an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) that relieves the inflammation and pain caused by osteoarthritis, and controls post-operative pain caused by orthopedic or soft tissue surgical procedures in dogs.

How is Medication Given?
Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product. Your vet will inform you of the proper dose for your dog and give you tips for administering this medication properly. The lowest possible Carprofen dose should be administered for the shortest possible duration to achieve the desired response. Typical recommended dose for dogs is 2 mg per pound of body weight administered orally each day. Total dose can be given once daily, or divided to administertwice daily at a rate of 1 mg per pound of body weight. To control pain after an operation, administer about 2 hours prior to the anticipated procedure start time.

Dose and Administration: Sold in a 30-count bottle of flavored tablets in 25, 75, or 100 mg strengths.

Precautions:
Never administer with any other steroid (including Triamcinolone, Prednisone, Dexamethasone, or Cortisone) or NSAID (Tepoxalin, Meloxicam, Firocoxib, Etodolac, Deracoxib, or Aspirin). Do not give to a hypersensitive dog. Never administer to a cat. Only for canine use. Keep out of reach of animals and children.
Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry environment between temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F). Brief excursions permitted of 15-30 degrees C (59 - 86 degrees F).
