DESCRIPTION:

Digoxin treats congestive heart failure and the symptoms thereof (including shortness of breath while lying flat, wheezing, and ankle swelling). It may also be prescribed to decrease the heart rate during disturbances in atrial rhythm, including atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter.
