DESCRIPTION:Revolution for Cats is a topical, spot-on liquid that prevents fleas and heartworm disease. It also prevents and controls ear mites and sarcoptic mange. It is convenient and easy to apply monthly.
Key Benefits:
Following topical Revolution application, the medication goes to work by entering the cat's bloodstream via the skin. It starts working to prevent heartworm disease and parasitic worm infections. Selamectin remains in the cat's tissue and bloodstream, which allows it to treat ear mites and sarcoptic mange, prevent flea eggs from hatching, and kill American dog ticks and fleas.
Formulated For: Based on color code, pink is for puppies and kittens over 5lbs. Blue and taupe are for cats only.
How is Medication Given? For kittens 6 weeks and up weighing 5 pounds or less, administer 1 tube from box with mauve label.
For cats between 5.1 and 15 pounds, administer 1 tube from box with blue label. For cats between 15.1 and 22 pounds, administer 1 tube from box with taupe label. To treat ear mites, administer 1 dose. Certain animals may require another dose 1 month later. Monthly administration will control future infestations of ear mites. It is recommended to cleanse affected ear(s) to remove debris. To control and prevent fleas, administer monthly throughout flea season. Begin treatment 1 month prior to flea season. If switching from another heartworm preventative to Revolution, begin the first dose of Revolution within 30 days of the final dose of your cat's old heartworm preventative. Administer throughout the year, or give just during mosquito season. When administering seasonally, give the first dose within 30 days of first mosquito exposure, and give the last dose within 30 days of the final exposure. Cats should be tested for existing heartworm infections before beginning treatment with this medication. This product comes with reminder stickers for your calendar to remind you of your cat's dosage schedule. To prevent heartworm disease, administer monthly on the same calendar day. If you miss a dose and 30 days have lapsed since your cat's last dose, administer at once and resume the usual schedule.
