DESCRIPTION Revolt is a topical, once-monthly, prescription parasiticide for use in dogs. It is used in cats 8 weeks old and up, and it reats and controls hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) as well as roundworms (Toxocara cati) and ear mites (Otodectes cynotis). It also prevents heartworm disease associated with Dirofilaria immitis, prevents and controls flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations, kills adult fleas, and prevents the hatching of flea eggs.
Key Benefits:
The active ingredient of Revolt is Selamectin. This ingredient is known as a macrocyclic lactone compound, which prevents adult heartworms from developing when administered within a month of exposure to the infective larvae (L3 Dirofilaria immitis).
Formulated For: Intended for cats and kittens aged 8 weeks and older.
How is Medication Given? Minimum recommended dosage rate is 2.7 mg of Selamectin for every pound of body weight. Administration Instructions:
1) Remove applicator from its pouch with scissors, or fold along the marked line to expose the nick. Tear back at the nick. 2) Hold applicator in an upright position. Tap the applicator at the narrow portion to confirm that the contents are still in the applicator body. Snap or twist the tip. 3) Part your pet's hair at the base of his or her neck (in front of his or her shoulder blades), gaining visibility of the skin. 4) Place the Revolt applicator tip right against the exposed skin. Firmly squeeze the applicator 3 to 4 times in a single location until the tube is completely empty. On the final squeeze, keep the applicator squeezed to prevent liquid from re-entering the applicator. Do not touch Revolt with your own fingers. 5) Keeping the applicator in a squeezed position, drag the applicator away from the dispensed liquid, lifting to remove. 6) Verify that the applicator is completely empty. Place it in your regular household garbage to dispose.
