How is Medication Given? 1) Just prior to use, open pouch and remove a dosing tube. 2) Hold tube by its crimped end. The cap should be upright (with the tip up). 3) Rotate the cap in either direction a full turn. The cap will remain on the tube and shouldn't be removed. When you hear or feel a click, the tube is ready to use. 4) Position cat in a lying or standing position. In either case, the back should be horizontally positioned. 5) Part your cat's fur at the intended site of application. 6) Place the tip of the tube in a vertical position against the cat's skin at the base of his or her skull. 7) Squeeze tube to apply Bravecto gently. Do not apply an excessive amount in a single spot. This can cause dripping or running. If another application site is needed, apply just behind the first application site. Administer topically in 1 dose at 12-week increments, delivering a dose of 18.2 mg per pound of body weight. Administer at 8-week intervals if the cat is regularly exposed to Dermacentor variabilis ticks. Begin treatmentduring any season and continue treatment throughout the year with no interruption.
