Its action causes parasite hyperpolarization, followed by paralysis and eventual death. The first and only U.S. product with protection against the Asian longhorned tick

How is Medication Given? Administration Directions:
1) Just prior to use, open pouch and remove a dosing tube. 2) Hold tube by its crimped end. The cap should be upright (with the tip up). 3) Rotate the cap in either direction a full turn. The cap will remain on the tube and shouldn't be removed. When you hear or feel a click, the tube is ready to use. 4) Position cat in a lying or standing position. In either case, the back should be horizontally positioned. 5) Part your cat's fur at the intended site of application. 6) Place the tip of the tube in a vertical position against the cat's skin at the base of his or her skull. 7) Squeeze tube to apply Bravecto gently. Do not apply an excessive amount in a single spot. This can cause dripping or running. If another applicationsite is needed, apply just behind the first application site. Administer topically in 1 dose at 12-week increments, delivering a dose of 18.2 mg per pound of body weight. Administer at 8-week intervals if the cat is regularly exposed to Dermacentor variabilis ticks. Begin treatment during any season and continue treatment throughout the year with no interruption. Tips and Information: Certain cats may have a wet, oily, or greasy appearance at the application site. If you are using Bravecto Plus to replace another monthly heartworm preventative, administer within a month of your cat's final dose of their old medication. To prevent heartworm disease, this medication should be given every 2 months, then administered throughout the year with no interruption. At a minimum, it should be used every 2 months, starting when the cat is first exposed to mosquitoes, and ending when exposure (the season) comes to an end. If you skip a monthly dose and more than 2 months have passed, administer right away, then resume the regular (every 2 months) dosing schedule. This product is intended to be administered as one dose every 2 months. The recommended dosage rate is at least 0.9 mg of Moxidectin per pound of body weight, and 18.2 mg of Fluralaner per pound.
