• Clonidine is a centrally acting alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that is used to help treat fear-based behavioral conditions and anxiety in dogs. This medication may also be prescribed as an antidiarrheal agent for dogs and cats.


• Used as a supplemental treatment for fear-based anxiety and behavioral conditions in dogs (e.g., separation anxiety, noise phobias, veterinary visits).
