    DESCRIPTION:

    Lantus Injection contains Insulin Glargine to control feline diabetes mellitus. The injectable medication regulates blood sugar. Cats with normal levels of blood glucose enjoy normal body function and fewer symptoms of diabetes. The long-acting product is formulated for injection beneath the cat's skin.

    What Form Does Medication Come In? Injectable

    Dose and Administration: Comes with one vial (10 mL) and one pre-filled pen (3 mL). Needle not included (sold separately).

    Possible Side Effects: The most common side effect of Lantus use is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which may become a severe, life-threatening situation. It can harm the heart or brain. Signs of dangerously low blood sugar include: Shaking, Sweating, Rapid heart rate, Blurry vision. Other potential side effects include: Allergic reaction, Injection site reaction, Lipodystrophy, Pruritus, Rash, Edema, Weight gain.

    Precautions Keep away from children and animals. Never mix or dilute with any solution, including insulin.

    Storage Recommendations: Refrigeration is required between 36 degrees F - 46 degrees F (2 degrees C and 8 degrees C).

    In Case of Overdose: Contact the nearest emergency pet clinic.
