DESCRIPTION:

Methocarbamol works concomitantly to treat acute inflammatory and traumatic skeletal muscle conditions. It is also useful in reducing muscle spasms. Injectables and tablets are used together for the treatment of acute skeletal muscle hyperactivity.

What Results Can I Expect? Methocarbamol is a potent skeletal muscle relaxant. It is incredibly selective on the central nervous system, and it is highly effective via oral administration. It treats adult hyperactivity of the skeletal muscles.

What Form Does Medication Come In? Tablet

Dose and Administration: Sold as a single tablet in strengths of 500 or 750 mg.

Possible Side Effects: Potential side effects include:

  • Saliation or vomiting in sensitive animals
  • A sedative effect in conjunction with muscle relaxing

    Precautions:

  • This medication contains Polyethylene Glycol, and should usually not be administered to animals with decreased kidney function.
  • Methocarbamol may cause sedation and depression of the central nervous system, which can lead to subsequent incoordination.
  • Reactions at the injection site are possible after injection site extravasation.

    Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry environment.

    In Case of Overdose: Call your nearest emergency animal hospital.
