    DESCRIPTION

    Minocycline combats susceptible bacterial infections. This antibiotic is bacteriostatic against a number of infections, including Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

    Possible Side Effects:

  • Safe for use in animals with renal insufficiency.
  • Consult your vet to ensure that your pet's other medications are safe for concomitant use with Minocycline.
  • The most frequently reported side effects are gastrointestinal effects like nausea or vomiting. Administering with food can help decrease the likelihood of these effects.

    Precautions:

  • Administer cautiously to pets who have a history of liver issues.
  • Administer cautiously to young pets with developing bones and teeth.
  • Never administer to a breeding, pregnant, or nursing pet unless your veterinarian has deemed it completely necessary.
  • Never administer to a pet with hypersensitivity to this drug or any similar medication, including doxycycline or tetracycline.
