    DESCRIPTION

    Vetadryl uses Diphenhydramine HCl to treat atopic dermatitis, allergies, insect bites, motion sickness, anxiety, and other conditions in dogs and cats. The chewable tablet is easy to administer.

    How is Medication Given?

  • To manage allergies in cats, orally administer 2 mg to 4 mg every 12 to 24 hours.
  • To manage travel anxiety in dogs, orally administer 2 mg to 4 mg every 12 hours.
  • To manage atopic dermatitis in dogs, orally administer 25 mg to 50 mg 3 times each day.
  • To manage allergies in dogs, orally administer 2 mg to 4 mg every 8 to 12 hours.
  • To treat motion sickness in dogs, orally administer 2 mg to 4 mg every 8 hours.
  • Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product.

    Dose and Administration: Sold in a 30-count or 250-count bottle of tablets in strengths of 10 or 30 mg.

    Possible Side Effects: Diphenhydramine HCl overdose can cause:

  • Lethargy, somnolence, and other signs of central nervous system stimulation
  • Dry mouth, urine retention, and other anticholinergic effects
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, anorexia, and other gastrointestinal effects Paradoxical excitement can occur when this medication is administered to cats. If you observe any unusual or bothersome signs, consult your veterinarian.

    Precautions: Keep away from children and animals.

    Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry location between 59- 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C).
