Australian Rainbowfish is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get big I have the cheapest rainbow fish available. When I got them (5 of them) they were bland and not very colorful but when they grew up the males got these cheeta colored fin which is amazing looking. They do get big and I would not put them in a tank under 50 gallons. They do school and are almost always together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Among my favorites I have three of these in a 36 gallon and will get more when we upgrade to a larger tank. The colors may be a bit muted in the store, but don't get put off by that. After you get them home and feed them a good, varied diet, they will display gorgeous color as they grow towards maturity. They grow fairly large pretty quickly and they are a boisterous, active fish. Especially during feeding time -- they're like rockets going to the surface. They get along well with all the species in my tank, but I would not keep them with timid or slow-moving fish that might get scared by their feeding behaviors or playful chasing around the tank with their own kind. My three have made my Opaline gourami (almost the same color and size) an honorary member of their school and they hang out. It's pretty funny. These are uniquely beautiful, hardy, active fish; they are not fussy eaters and seem to like everything I offer them. Do not keep them in small tanks or singly. They are a schooling fish that need plenty of room to swim and dart around. Highly recommend these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rainbow Fish I love these fish. I have three of them because they are so good. They eat so much and they have grown a lot in the two months that I had them. I have them with two skirt tetras and they get along great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fish I love these fish. I bought two of them, and they acclimated to the tank right away. I have had them for about two weeks and their color is showing through, just beautiful. My only warning, I put them with my african clawed frog and when I woke up today to feed them one was missing, frog must have ate him. I'm really sad now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice We have a 120gal tank with 35 fish in total now,we bought 5 to start when we got the tank,2 male 3 female, 6 months ago and only lost one, the big male we have is great he does not bother any other fish at all, not even our 3 Betta's, now hes around 3 to 4.5 inches, and we just bought 2 more, you should always keep 2-3 females to 1 male, if you don't you will stress out the one female from him chasing her all over...all n all a great hardy fish to cycle with and there after

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks aggresive but not We bought this fish 3 months ago and it has not caused any trobl with other community fishes. It is a very gentle and hardy fish. It gets along other community fishes. My smallest fish is 10 Neon Tetras and my biggest fish so far is dwarf Gourami. It is very active and grows fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fish! I bought turquoise and boesemani rainbows and they are beautiful, healthy and flourishing fish. Of all the small tropical fish, I love the rainbows because they have the most brilliant color. and are very hardy.
