Description and Overview: Made from 100% natural, mineral-rich volcanic soil from Mount Aso in Japan and infused with beneficial nitrifying bacteria, Fluval Bio-Stratum provides immediate biological activity and favorable conditions for a planted freshwater aquarium. Fine, porous granules allow delicate roots to spread and absorb nutrients, minerals and trace elements.

Advice for Use: To calculate the quantity required, multiply aquarium length
x width x desired substrate depth in centimeters, then divide by 1,000 to determine kilograms needed. Test carbonate hardness and pH regularly. Maintain appropriate filtration, water testing and routine partial water changes.

Cautions or Warnings: For freshwater aquarium use only. Natural soil substrate may temporarily affect water chemistry. Test ammonia, pH and carbonate hardness before adding fish and during aquarium establishment. Rinse gently without agitating or crushing the granules. Keep packaging away from children and pets. Do not ingest.
