Royal Canin® Veterinary Diet Gastro Intestinal Low Fat Dog Food is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diarrhea vanished. After bouts upon bouts of projectile diarrhea, my vet decided the Royal Canin GI low fat would be best for my dog. He's been on it a signs or symptoms of diarrhea. Matter of fact, his stools look healthier than any stool in the past 7.5 years. Pricey, but so are vet visits. He will continue on this dog for the rest of his life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gastritis/Pancreatitis My Maggie started on the Royal Canin low fat about 1 year ago this coming Oct. She was a very sick little girl before she was put on this food. She loves it also. My only complaint is the cost. But this is the only food she can eat now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for my puppy with no appetite. My 10 month old dog wasn't eating his food (even switched from brand to canned), he was also throwing up, so I went to consult his problem with a vet. So far, my baby has gone back to eating with no problems and today we are going to start to transition him back into dry food. Keep in mind that you have to ask the veterinarian for a prescription for this type of food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food Vet recommended this for my Pomeranian after she was hospitalized for two days. She loves this food and she is a fussy eater. I am so happy to finally get her food she likes and will eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Digestive Disorders Miss Sassy, a Yorkie-Bichon mix, was prescribed this specific brand after she suffered a dramatic bout with pancreatitis while on vacation. Thank goodness she loves the taste. Her weight has been maintained while on it and her laboratory tests have been normal. It is very expensive and getting more expensive every time I purchase several cases of it. Well over $3.00 a can at Pet Smart store. Makes it hard for anyone to afford, much less seniors on a fixed budget. OUCH!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Dogs with Gastritis/Pancreatitis This wet food is by prescription only, and is a bit pricey. BUT, it is a great food for canines with digestive issues. It is the only one I have found so far which does not irritate my dog's GI problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I had a very sick pug, 9 yrs old and very finicky eater. When our vet prescribed Royal Canin, gastro intestinal canned dog food, I thought this is never going to work. To my amazement, after trying one can, SHE LIKES IT!!!! I had only purchased one can, as it is pricey, but after seeing her eat and enjoy the taste I am waiting for the store to open to purchase more. She had been so ill with diarrhea for months and whatever it was she is well and I cannot put a price on how important it is to see her feeling better....Looks like I will have to adjust my budget....:)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Price just keeps going up! This item has shot up by one dollar per can in less than a year. I need to start looking for an alternative, may make my own. Otherwise, the food seems good.

Petsmart carries this food. You have to get it through the pharmacy so check that the store has a pharmacy before going in. They will put the prescription on file so you can get it anytime at any Petsmart
