Caution: We want to remind those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women that a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat box filler. Encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains. Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Product is filled by weight; some settling may occur.
    Package Weight:30 lb

    Cleaning Instructions:
Transitioning your cat: While some cats can switch from one litter type to another easily, your cat may require a transition. If so, you should follow this simple transition schedule:

Week One: Mix ⅓ Yesterday's News with ⅔ your current litter.

Week Two: Mix ⅔ Yesterday's News with ⅓ current litter.

    Week Three 100% Yesterday's News.

Directions: Use a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). Maintain cat box filler at a depth of 2-3 inches for pawing and covering. We recommend removing waste areas daily. Clean the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes. Store in dry place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever I went through 6 or 7 different litters before finding this wonder product. I have a bunny who is litter trained and his litter box used to always smell. This litter is super absorbent and I only have to change the box once every 3 or 4 days as opposed to having to change it every day with the other litters I tried. The cage is in my kitchen and you can't even smell the bunny! I will never switch to another litter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect cat litter, at least for us I switched to this product after our cat had surgery. No way will I ever go back to the clumping litter. I was tired of having "sand" all over my house. I also found that it still had an odor in the remaining litter even after I scooped. This doesn't take much more work than clumping litter. I would scoop the box every-other day. Now all I do is dump it every-other day. All I do is fill the bottom of the box with it and I'm done. I buy a huge bag of baking soda and before I put in the pellets I sprinkle a few tablespoons on the bottom to help with odor since I buy the unscented. There is very little dust. Some had complained that it is hard to scoop, it is NOT scoopable since the pellets break down once wet!! The price is more than scooping litter but I always wait until its on sale. The higher price is worth it to me to have a sand & odor free home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent litter for cats that have UTI's I have nine cats and three that suffer from time to time with urinary tract infections. This litter helped those cats that were eliminating outside of the box. I think it helps that the litter does not stick to them when they go in the litter box. Also, I have a cat that had constant eye irritations. I found out that he was allergic to the dust from the other kitty litters. He absolutely loves this litter and his eyes are so much better. The only drawback on this litter is that they don't defecate in it. Since most cats like to cover their feces, they are not really able to do this with this litter. I keep other litter boxes with the traditional litter so they can use it for this purpose. A few of the cats like to roll around in it when I replace it with new litter. I'm not sure why they do this but they seem to be enjoying themselves. Once it is used they no longer do this. I would highly recommend this litter. It is easy to clean, does not track all over the house, little odor and the cats love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for GUINEA PIGS! I've never used this for cat litter, but I have used it in my guinea pig cage for years! A store employee recommended it to me, and I've used it since then! It's great because it doesn't get thrown out of the cage, and if it does, it's easy to pick up. It also absorbs all of his waste and make his cage super easy to clean!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cats won't use this litter Per my vet's recommendation, I tried Yesterday's News, hoping to see if that's what's causing my male ragdoll's allergy symptoms. Did a 50/50 mixture of old vs. new in one of their litter boxes and neither of the two cats will use it. The pellets are too big, causing the cats to sink down in the litter box and not have solid footing. The female thinks the pellets are for knocking out of the box and then playing with on the floor. The male hasn't set one paw in the box voluntarily. Might be good for ferrets and rabbits, but not so good for cats!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only litter choice! This litter is fantastic! It doesn't track, no dust or dust particles. And my cat does great with it. This was recommended to me by my vet after my cat had surgery. I was worried because I thought I would be inviting litter issues into my cat's behavior, but she used it with no problem and I continued to use after the recommended time because I had reaction to the other litter I intially used. The urine gets absorbed well as long as you use about two to two and a half inches of litter in the box. It also covers the other smell pretty well. I also completely clean the box once a week and replace with fresh litter so that might help too. Highly recommend!!! Especially if you have a reaction to other litters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This Litter! We recently switched to Yesterday's News, after having a terrible time with the Schweat Scoop! This really works for controlling smells, and it's so nice to NOT be scraping urine off the litter box! While my cat does still manage to track litter, the pellets are so much easier to sweep up than the wheat! I really do love this litter!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I absolutely love Yesterday's News! It does cost more but I think it is worth it. You don't gave the mess or the odour which is so pleasant. I think Smudge likes it much better!

Is this like fluffy paper or Pellets

    Asked by: RoxAnn 3816
Pellets. They are hard and resemble small animal food pellets
