Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have noticed what others have noticed recently It used to work great, but I think they have changed it recently. It no longer clumps but makes a nasty mess in the bottom of the cat pan that is next to impossible to remove. I have seen others are having this problem as well. We are going to try something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to scoop I've been using this product for years & have been satisified, however the formula must have changed recently as I find the clumps are now impossible to scoop. It becomes like cement and sticks to the box. Also noticed more litter tracked around the house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from UNHAPPY...Did you change something? I have four inside cats and for 7 years I've used Tidy Cats and it's been great, but the last two times I bought it..when I go to scoop..I about gag. The time before last I thought I'd try a different formula, the red cap, so I bout the blue cap/ instant action. When I came home from school today/ I'm unemployed and going to school full time...I could smell cat urine. I'm very unhappy this is happening.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Litter No Longer Clumps Used to be I could rely on this product to clump urine into manageable, scentless, little pucks. Not so anymore. I'm not sure WHAT happened to this litter, but it has stopped clumping and the smell of urine is enough to knock you out. I pity the cats who have to squat in that mess. Been using this litter for quite a while, but, sadly, I'm going to have to find a more suitable product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No longer clumps For over 20 years I have always used Tidy Cat for our cats and it has always been a great product, clumping into easy to scoop balls and leaving hardly any odor. Even with our last very large diabetic cat who urinated several times a day. He has since passed and we have two more young cats, one male, one female. We were using Scoop for multi cats and it just stopped clumping. Urine went straight to the bottom of the large deep litter box we use. We keep at least a 35 pound tub in it at all times. So we switched to your instant action litter and guess what, no clumping. Make that no clumping and a strong urine odor wafting through the house. I would like to know what is going on in the cat litter world. We have used every type of litter that you Tidy Cat makes and the only constant is no clumping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does NOT clump cat urine anymore! I have bought tidy cats litter for years now and I am very unhappy as of the past few months. The litter doesn't clump right anymore! The urine gets soaked up and turns into a disgusting mushy mess that you can't scoop up without actually using a spoon! After just two days the stench of ammonia is so strong it's painful to breathe. What happened?!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Change in clumping ability I have used this product for 7 years with 3 cats and have always been more than satisfied with it's performance, up until lately. Seems as though the formula has changed. It is no longer clumping sufficiently. Goes right through to the bottom and is a sticky wet mass of clay that breaks up when trying to remove which makes a mess of the remaining litter. I use 2 of the 35 lb buckets in each of my 2 boxes so litter depth is not the problem. Purina, please review your formula as using 70 lb of litter every two weeks is not acceptable. Will have to start looking for another alternative.

How often do u have to scoop? And how would the 35lb bucket last?

Asked by: amy2019
We appreciate the opportunity to address your questions! We recommend that the Scoopable litter should be scooped at least daily. An equivalent amount should be added to replace the amount of litter that is removed. The entire litter box should be changed every month. Every cat and maintenance routine is different, so results may vary.
