Royal Canin® Veterinary Care Nutrition Dental Adult Cat Food is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cats love it! We have been feeding this to our cats and recommending it to our veterinary clients for a number of years, now. Most cats absolutely adore the taste. You do have to be careful about how much to feed, however, as a diet consisting only of this food seems to cause obesity, in our doctors' experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make a smaller bag! This is a great product. I've used it for years with three cats and it has helped with tartar and keeping their teeth healthy. They all love it. However, it is also very high calorie so if you have indoor cats, like I do, my vet agrees it is best fed as treats unless the dental problem is the biggest concern. This is produced only in an eight pound bag. Not only is it very expensive, if you want to use it as a supplement or treat, plan to waste half a bag or more if you have a small cat population of 2 or 3. I wish it could be ordered in smaller sizes. My budget does too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the cat! I have been using this for my cats for the last two years. I started when my youngest kitten had a gum infection. Since using it both cats have great teeth and gums. They love it. I use it as a treat several times a day. I put it in a plastic container. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. All I have to do is shake the container and they come running for their treat. I cannot be without it - they come in the house from outside and immediately look to me for their treat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works and cats love it! My 12 year old male cat had tartar and gingivitis. Vet recommended using Royal Canin Dental food although he would still need a cleaning. 6 months later, the vet sees a significant improvement and is no longer advocating an immediate cleaning. All three of my cats love this food. It is the right size to fit into feeding toys (ball) so they love eating the food from the toy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So palatable! I started one of my cats on this diet when it became apparent that his gingivitis was not solely from teething. He's been on the food for the better part of a year now, and I have to keep watch over the clowder (I have four other cats) to stop them from butting in! Every one of my cats wishes this were their food and try to outwit me to sneak in some bites. This is easily the most palatable food of the three cat diets in my house. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing food, and amazing quality! My cat was very picky about dry foods, and I wanted to feed him a dry food that had more benefits than the regular dry foods (I was not originally going to feed a dry food for many reasons that I had discussed with my veterinarian). As a veterinary technician with an interest in nutrition, I did my research and found that this diet is not only great for my cat's teeth, but is also on the s/o index, and is great for his urinary tract and kidneys! And to top it all off, my cat loves this food! If you are going to feed a dry diet, make sure it is one that has everything and more that your cat could ever need, just like this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it! Two of my three cats that really like this variety. Tiger found our house and Lucky was in the middle of a highway that we rescued. All my cats are loveable. They like the flavor and crunchiness of this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food, helps with dental and urinary health! I've been feeding my cats this for over 10 years now. I tried to switch them at one point to another brand's equivalent and they hated it and it caused GI problems! They eat this well, eat slowly because they have to chew and it helps keep my urine problem kitty's urine under control! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Is this formula exactly the same as the small 4.4 feline dental formula that does not say Adult on it? I was given a primotional small bag with mt cats tooth cleaning and they ate it like a treat. I sm scared to buy the large bag as the name is different.

Asked by: LT64
