Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Urinary Rx Food my cat will eat! My cat, Marmalade had a cystitis flare up that required two trips to the vet. I have tried giving him other prescription canned food without any luck. His vet sent us home with a sample pack of the Purina Pro Plan UR canned food. I tried this one first because Marmie prefers pate. He gobbled up the first serving but I figured it was because he was really hungry. I didn't hold out much hope for the rest of the can. Suprisingly, he finished the entire can. He would lick his plate clean which I have never seen him do with any type of canned food! What a relief for me! Thank you Pro Plan for making a food that my cat finds palatable!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Contains fish? I was so happy to see new flavors for my cat and he loved the taste. I am puzzzled and concerned as to why there would be fish in this food? Fish is high in phosphorus which is hard on the kidneys and forms urinary crystals. I was surprised to see this ingredient in here? It is not in the original flavor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cat didn't like it My boy was diagnosed with FLUTD and vet recommended this food. Had to order a case from vet. Although Ollie always preferred pate, he didn't like this (smell was terrible). Fortunately Purina guaranteed it -- refunded my money in full and said to donate rest of cans to a shelter, which I did. I then ordered the salmon flavor -- he eats it for a day but then have to give him something else -- I've been feeding him Pro Plan urinary non-prescription food which he like. The Rx formula also comes in turkey flavor. PETSMART only recently started selling this food in their stores, but only the pate. I wish they would sell the other flavors, especially turkey so that I can buy a couple of cans to see if he likes it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only rx food my cat is ready to eat My cat has been through urinary blockage twice (both times he ate dry food). After the second one we moved him to rx food and this is the only brand he's ready to eat. He rejected both Royal Canin and Hill's prescription food, so I'm really glad that we found this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade!!! Capital "U"! Purina, how can I thank you enough? After YEARS of my cat eating the old formulation only out of necessity (liver flavor, pate), you made the urinary diet canned food look like the other cat's "naughty food"! He now thinks he's getting away with murder at feeding time LOL! This formula is fantastic! Swimming in gravy (sneaking in that necessary moisture), and turkey and giblets is his favorite flavor. Bravo!
